Peacefully in her sleep on Saturday December 4, 2010 at the age of 84. Dear wife of the late Herb Spong. Loving mother of Ted (Pat), Debbie (John), and Doug ( Jean). Devoted grandmother of Stephen (Katya), Matthew, Joshua and Adam. Cherished sister of Bill Simpson. Lifelong friend of Betty Gibbs. Cremation has occurred. As per her wishes, no service will be held.

I was so saddened to hear about Auntie Mary’s death. I have many fond memories of her I will cherish. She was a special aunt.

I was very sad to hear about my Auntie Mary`s passing. I was relieved to hear that it was peaceful and in her sleep. She was a wonderful person and she led by example with her generous and giving nature. My children and I will always remember her smile and love of her family as she was very proud of all of them. My sincere condolences to Ted and Pat, Deb and John and Doug and Jean and all of the rest of the family. May the LORD keep her safe in his arms forevermore. Until we meet again.
