Our beloved mother, Joan Kantores, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the age of 79. Joan will be greatly missed by her daughters and their partners Sheila (Wade), Susan (Brent), Shari (Frank) and Sandra (Bob); grandchildren Crystal (Ivo) and Kyle; great grandchild Marcus; ex-husband William; and the many, many people whose lives she touched along her journey. Our mom was a very special lady and lived a long and full life, March 28, 1931 to December 17, 2010. Outside of her love for her family and close friends, her next greatest love was for her cottage home. A memorial service to commemorate her ashes will be held at the Springdale Church, 30 Merritt Road, Toronto on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2pm. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
